To help the topping stick to each piece, brush it with extra virgin oil. Place the cut-side down wedges on a baking tray. Bake at 350F (or until they're softened but still have some bite) for around 15 minutes. If you want to add some extra flavor, broil the zucchini sticks for about a minute to give them a golden hue.

How to make a perfect omelet

Omelets are one of my favorite foods to eat at breakfast. But how do you make them perfectly? There are many recipes and methods I tried, but none worked. So I wanted to share some tips and tricks so that you can make delicious, fluffy omelets every morn.

Before we start making omelets, let's remember that eggs are temperamental. It is important that eggs are fresh from an organic market and kept cool until used. The yolks and whites will not form properly if they aren't kept cold enough. This causes your omelets to look oddly colored. It is best to use room-temperature eggs if you are going to cook them right away.

Another tip is to separate each egg before adding them to the saucepan. It is important not to allow any white to mix with the yolk as this could lead to the omelet becoming curdled.

You could end up burning the bottom half of the egg if the egg is added directly to the heat source. Instead, microwave the egg for 10 seconds before adding it to the pan. The microwave heat will cook the egg just right without making it too hot.

Next, let's talk about mixing the eggs. Mixing eggs together is important. You need to beat them well. Turn the bowl upside down and grab the whisk to do this. Now shake the bowl vigorously. This allows the air to be whipped and the egg to be mixed thoroughly.

Now it's time to have fun: pour the milk into the mixture. Fold the eggs in the milk mixture by first pouring half of it into the egg whites. Do not worry if you see streaks of egg; they will disappear when the omelet is flipped.

After you have folded the eggs, heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Once the oil has started to sizzle, turn the heat down to low. Once the oil begins to heat, add 1/4 cup butter and swirl the pan to coat it. Open the lid and sprinkle salt on the pan. A pinch of salt will prevent your omelet from sticking in the pan.

Once the omelet has formed completely, cover the pan and let it set for a few minutes. Flip the omelet over using a spatula or flip the pan upside down. Cook the other side for about a minute. Remove the omelet from the pan and serve immediately.

This recipe is best made with whole milk. However, it can also be used with skimmed milk.
